Applicable to: caged birds, carrier pigeons, terrarium animals, small rodents and rabbits not raised for food production.

Ingredients: active ingredients: 1 sachet (= 5 g) PT-12 contains 5 billions CFU (colony forming units) of lyophilized lactobacillus salivarius bacteria, additional component: cornﬂour.

Dosage form: powder.

Type of application: administration via food.

Areas of application:

Dysbacteriosis, diarrhoea due to dysbacteriosis, displacement and inhibition of Enterobacteriaceae, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and fungi.
Stabilization of the ﬂora of the small intestine as protection from reinfection with pathogens.
Support during treatment with antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals.
For construction of a good-natured intestinal ﬂora (hand rearing).

Contraindications: Do not use on animals intended for food production.

Important notice concerning the application of PT-12: Only apply PT-12 with the drinking water if a rapid water intake is guaranteed. Lactobacteria are dropping down to the bottom of the drink cup very rapidly. The viability of lyophilized lactobacteria quickly decreases in water. Application is best with grain food.

Storage: PT-12 has to be stored under deep-freeze conditions, meaning at least at minus 18° Celsius (in the freezer, deep-freezer). The product was tested under “worst-case conditions”. The results of these experiments have shown that the prod-uct can be transported unchilled without risk at high temperatures even in summer without minimizing the quality of the product. When stored in a refridgerator (at 4 – 6° Celsius) the product should be used within the next 4 weeks. Seal opened sachet with a clip.
